Graham Edwards (So.) lefty from Middle Creek aint bad. Starter on Middle Creek HS in Apex. Struck out 5 of 6 batters he faced last night vs. Southern Lee.

Lee County has some very good sophmores and freshmen, but with a senior dominated varsity, they do not get a chance to play. Also they have a very big team, if they keep growing they will have a varsity team full of grown men

    Another prospect (2014) from GHO

Thomas Yoder (C), this kid is the real deal. Smacked a 380' HR @ Southern Lee. Not too shabby for a freshman.

Saw him alot last summer and fall. The 2 Sanderosn kids played on the 2013 Lake Monsters with him and Newbold (speed is not learned it is a gift), and both are tremendous players. Cas Silber and Tyler Hardee, both at Sanderson are having very strong years. Cas Silber has hit a grand slam earlier against Millbrook and is as good as any 3rd basemen I have seen this season. Tyler Hardee has been impressive on the mound and has moved to second in the batting order. He has also shown that if you can play a place will be found on the field for you, he has played 7 differnt position this season.

    Hard to Believe

I waited and waited for someone from Raleigh to post this but........

2013 #1 Ranked Player in NC by Perfect Game USA is SS Wood Myers from Chapel Hill Jordan HS. Myers is committed to the University of North Carolina

2013 Cameron Snow from Riverside HS is certainly one of the top 5 recruits in the state. Snow is a SS who is committed to East Carolina University.

Cas Silber for Sanderson went 2-3 last night against Leesville including a 3 run blast against Ben Duncan (Sr.) who has been one of the top pitchers in the Cap 8 this year. Tyler Hardee went 1-3. I don't know their exact averages, but there have been very few games where they each didn't prodce at least one hit and both have produced in pressure situations.....very solid in the field as well.

That's good to hear. Bodes well for Sanderson's future.

    it does bode well

Coach Laughlin has to be excited to about the future of Sanderson baseball. All of the starting pitchers are returning in 2012 and he has a few dinamite freshmen in the fold this season. They are only losing 4 seniors this year off a team that is fighting hard to make the playoffs this season and i expect that they will. As with a lot of schools Sanderson is playing in a tough conference. I love how everyone takes the Cap 8 for granted but each season a team or 2 seems to make a deep run in to the states, usually knocking out a conference foe along the way.

Got a few 13's in the Pittsboro area also, Ross Cooper, Andrew Webster, and Justin King. Watch the Cooper boy he is going to be something special. Just wish our conference was better so we could showcase them a little better.
