    KUDOS..to catcoach and Braves.....

Nice perspectives, gentlemen!! Think about the college game. The polls are nice, but what it really is all about is who goes to Omaha!!............:PubDrink:

I don't give a crap about polls, but it would be nice to have a site(on the internet) that had up to date standings for all conferences. You try to call a coach from every conference in the state and see how much info you get, IF you can get contact numbers for them. Also, I said nothing of a fine. Reading(comprehension) is fundamental.

You will not get too much information from most HS coaches because they don't want to post the information and give out "scouting reports" on their own teams. Shoot when I was coaching most coaches would not even follow conference rules and call the appropriate newspapers if they were the home team....

Yep. A place to find updated records & conference standings would be nice. Or as Braves would say---very cool! :coool:

Let TBR members do it....I imagine there is a TBR member in every conference and each member (we are dedicated folk) could submit an update to Braves and one of his administrative staff :smartass: could compile them. Once you got the format down, the updates would be easier. Submit updates on Sunday night and publish on Monday...it would make TBR the "go to" site for HS baseball standings and build even more awareness and membership over time.

When you break it down, it is not so daunting...others are already doing it for their conferences (DirtyMo for I-Meck, mincimi for the SW4A, etc)

    You are correct sir. :blush5:
You never mentioned the word fine.
Somehow I substituted fine for playoff forfeit. I have no idea how.:stunned:?

That said, I think I would rather have to pay a fine than possibly forfeit playoff spots due to not submitting records online. And since I obviously implied that the fine option (again, never mentioned) was maybe over the top, well, I feel the same in terms of possibly forfeiting playoff spots. A little too much.

By the way Southern, how did the 2, 3, 4 spots in your conference shake out?

Not sure about the 2,3,4 yet. Rocky Mount still has to play Hunt and Northern Nash again. A lot of it will shake out this week.

Since this thread sorta started out about Pinecrest, and turned in to polls, playoffs, & yada, yada, yada, I'm pleased to report the following:

    Pinecrest 11 Richmond Senior 1

    Dillon Maples (8-0) gets the 1-hit W!

Joey Vecchione (3-3), Bailey Rush (2-3), and Evan Guy all hit homers for Pinecrest.
With the win, Pinecrest won their 2nd consecutive Southeastern Conference 4A Title & enters the playoffs at 23-2.
