Deloatch must have 13 wins by himself. Every time I read about Conley it seems
    Jordan adds another win!

you guys are not going to believe this but with our win tonight (our 5th of the year) we clinched the 3rd playoff spot in our conference. this was a year after winning the conference with a team of 11 players (7 seniors) with no jv jeam. this years team has 13 players, 9 freshman and sophmores. kids had to grow up fast and they did at the right time. we were sitting at 3-7 in conference and had to win our last two and get some help. we took care of business and got the help we needed. cant say enough about these boys. i am very proud of them.

Charlotte Country Day 6...Providence Day 2

    P. Day...100 100 0.....2.....3.....2
    CCDS....310 020 x.....6......9....0

    Pitching:

    CCDS Lee Harrison 7 IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 6K, 0BB....WP (5-3)
    PDay Jack Willen 5 IP, 9H, 6R, 6ER, 7K, 2BB....LP
    PDay Zack Featherstone 1 IP, 0H, 0R, 0ER, 1K, 1BB

    Hitting:

CCDS Colin Walls 2-2, HR, 2RBI
    CCDS Sammy Brown 2-3, RBI
    CCDS Web Anderson 1-2, triple
CCDS Brian Duncan 1-2, triple, RBI
CCDS Tyler Holloway 1-3, double, RBI
    PDay Kendall Hughes 1-3, RBI
    PDay Sam Arnie 1-2 double
    PDay Daniel Stack 1-3 double

The Country Day Bucs win the CISAA conference title for the first time in over ten years (maybe longer) with an exciting 6-2 win over the visiting Providence Day Chargers. Lee Harrison was very effective and threw a complete game with a low pitch count as he worked his pitches to the right spots and was supported by some outstanding defensive plays in the field. Colin Walls hit a 2-run HR in the bottom of the first and the 3-0 lead was never overcome. Sammy Brown figured in a couple of key plays with a nice RBI single and a bunt that created some chaos for the PD defense. With the game tight in the fifth inning at 4-2, Walls worked an 0-2 count into a walk and scored on Patrick Langdon's single to left that eluded the left fielder and allowed a run to score. Brian Duncan followed with a triple on an 0-2 count and the insurance runs were all that was need to cruise to victory. Defensively, Keisuke Ishekawa turned an outstanding play from deep short and Patrick Langdon made a key diving stop of a hard line drive to end an inning. Country Day finishes the regular season with a record of 19-5 and 10-2 in conference play.

...and I'm very proud of you. Without your commitment and dedication this program could have folded. Not that you would care, but you should get Coach of the Year!

To me this is the story of the year. After Charlotte Christian has dominated this conference for so many years, it's nice to see that there is a new sheriff this year. With William Frazier on the bump and Patrick Langdon at the plate, this team can beat anyone (private or public). Congrats CD....I'm looking forward to your playoffs.

You have a young, scrappy, respectful team. They deserve all they get. I will be watching the next couple years as the bulk of your team matures. best of luck in the playoffs!

Yes. Catholic's Daniel Stewart just signed with Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. Had offers from Francis Marion and Wingate among others. Great pitcher but an even better kid!!
