Region X Junior College Tournament

    This weekend kicks off the Division I Region X Tournament in Burlington, NC. I believe the Division II tournament is next weekend in Morehead City, NC. Anyone been keeping up with Junior College baseball?

    Region 10 Div 2 looks like this:
    game #1 -10am pasco-Hernando vs Surry
    game #2 - 1pm cvcc vs patrick Henry
    game #3 - 4pm Lenoir vs southeastern
    game #4 - 7pm Brunswick vs coll of the Albermarle
    Double elimination starting on may 13

    I keep up with Lenoir CC and Louisburg the best that I can. I'm a huge fan of JUCO baseball and Region X is loaded with talent both DI and DII.

    Should be a fun couple of tourneys.

    USC Salkahatchie 5--Spartanburg Methodist 4
    GTCC 6- Florence Darlington 2
    USC Sumter 5- USC Lancaster 2

    Today:
    Louisburg vs. SMC
    USC Lanc. vs. Flor. Darl.
    Pitt vs. USC Salk.
    GTCC vs. USC Sumter

    Great Baseball in Burlington

    Wow..So many great games this weekend in Burlington. GTCC 2-0 against PITT 2-0 at 4:00 today. Should be another close game...

    GTCC is playing some very good baseball right now. They've got some talent. Sumter, even with their loss, will be extremely tough.

    Yesterday's games saw Louisburg oust USC Salkahatchie, USC Sumter knocked out USC Lancaster, Pitt defeated Guilford Tech, and Sumter eliminated Louisburg in 11 innings. Guilford Tech plays Sumter to day at 3 in an elimination game. The winner will pay Pitt at 7 for the championship. If Pitt loses, the championship game will br wednesday at 2.

    Pitt Wins Region X Division 1

    Pitt Community 9 Guilford Tech 8
    in the championship game Tuesday night.
