I have no doubt that Ragsdale has kids on the team that are very likable and obviously I don't hate every kid individually, like I said it's nothing personal.

I have the same kind of hatred for Duke that you have for the Heels, but I can admit that Nolan Smith is a heck of a kid. Even while knowing that though I still always hoped he missed every shot he took because I hate Duke as a whole. Just because I like the fact that Ragsdale stunk this year, that doesn't mean I have anything against their players personally.

Funny story about how you have trouble relaying signs because of all the chatter between baserunners and infielders.

You guys have a good squad this year catcoach, best of luck to you in the next round.

    NO UMPIRES? Who's fault?

Would the game have been completed had the umpires been on time? If so I would protest that game to the highest level of authority!

4-2 Fuquay in the top of the 4th before the rains came. Playing today from what I understand.

Anybody have any info on these games? Saw the scores but no write-ups. I think Butler is on today at 6:00 weather permitting. Looks like McWhirter had 4K's in the first two innings.

Saw the AK/Dudley game. The Dudley team was fun to watch. AK went up 4-0 early on a 2 or 3 run bomb by the catcher. Score was 8-1, Dudley came back and scored 3 and made it 8-4. Final was 9-4.

I saw where a couple of games will finish today. With the second round slated for tomorrow, if those games get rained out who will be declared the winner.

Based on the information I was given, On Friday night, umpires were late and had to be called at the last minute. Played into bottom of 1st and then suspended because of rain.

Saturday at 3:00 - Game resumed from stoppage point with new set of umpires. In the top of the 7th, Person had 2 runners on with, I believe no outs, the bottom fell out and the game was called with score reverting back to the last completed inning (6th) with the final Wakefield 4, Person 3.

Man, I hate it for the kids! I just think in the playoffs you have to finish the game... I know Person if needed would have gone back to Wakefield for the third time to get the game in.

    Butler 1 Davie Co. 0

Butler's senior Brandon McWhirter fires yet another shutout as the Bulldogs upset Davie Co. 1-0 in Mocksville. Dalton Eisenbath's 2 out single in the top of the first scoring Tommy Hibbard holds up as the games only run as McWhirter rolls. I don't have the details but understand Brandon might of had double digit strikeouts. This was his 5th shutout. More details to come. Butler travels to North Davidson on Tuesday evening.
