    ...nesters! whats next? high school softball is over. college ball just around the corner. no one told this ride would end?! ...or maybe just didnt listen!

    its nuts! no one to trade evil stares, hateful looks, rolling of the eyes! no one to force me to question my own stupidity! ...not to mention the good stuff!!

    someone told me to work with other kids. i do but it is not the same flavor. the gritting of the teeth is not the same. the wailing and gnashing is also different.

    sigh.

    my girlfriend told me i had to grow up now.

    i feel for ya and know what you mean....it got so bad for a while that i'd look for a game to watch when i was on the road

    Misty eyed when we left the field after her last home game,did'nt want to leave. Almost like it would'nt end if you stayed.Going to Raleigh this weekend,it's now or never.She has worked so hard Lord only knows how many pitches she has thrown to get here.She wants to complete her High School career with a state title.I wish I could give it to her but she has to earn that with 8 of her team mates,buddies.Nothing I would rather do than watch her do her thing when she has her "A" game going,man she grew up too fast.We will leave states and drive to Cary so she can start her last full summer of TB.I dread Aug.,it all ends then.Our extended summer family gone.Sure, we will keep in touch,we will stay friends but it won't be the same.dragging our kids all over creation,sweating, getting sunburned.Watching your bank account get smaller and smaller.The pride you feel when she gets that offer from her dream school.Sharing that happiness with the other parents as it happens to their kids.Sitting up in 'Club Cardinale" with a few of the other Dads,a cold one washing the dust out of your throat.Sure she has 4 more years but it won't be like then 10 before it.Heaven? A beautiful spring day, Bug is on fire almost unhittable in a tourney that never ends.

    OMG

    I actually remembered that I like to do things for myself. Got back to bowling in a couple of leagues and play golf every weekend...WOW!!!!
