And the girls that have played for him,(past or present) will tell you it is a thrill to play for him!? That is absolutely 100% not true. Not all have enjoyed the experience.A one county highschool. You either play for him or you don't play for your highschool. Unless you move to another county just to play highschool softball but who would do that?

I have known several who did make the move, just for softball, for one reason or another. You only get one chance at HS softball, so you better take it. Much more fun than college ball.

the horse is dead and on it's way to the glue factory

    :beatdeadhorse5::beatdeadhorse5::beatdeadhorse5:

I have sat back and listened to all this, and it just cracks me up...
Most of you probably don't like the UGA coach either...
Because she coaches very similar to " he who will not be named."
    and she wins......allot.

Feel like I'm watching a Harry Potter movie

    The horse is dead......
All you AC haters.... get over it... The AC girls won....
not the coach.... I didn't see him pitch, hit and play any defense..
Focusing on a coaches style, whether you agree with it or not, isn't gonna change anything.... He did his job... got his girls ready....

There were 16 very good teams present this week at Walnut Creek.
All deserve positive feedback on what it took to get there...
    Celebrate their seasons....

Just think.... 9 months till HS softball starts up again... humm?? what to talk about until then..

    Congrats to
    Alexander Central
    DH Conley
    Pisgah
    East Surry

    HS more fun?

I guess it depends on how competitive you are. My DD liked HS ball fine but she was a "ballplayer". Most HS players are 'girls playing softball'. She was always happier surrounded by 'ballplayers' in TB and college ball.

I've got to say amen to that. First time seeing this coach in action and I was so disappointed.

Just some food for thought but it is interesting that DH Conley, Pisgah, and East Surry are in the top 10 largest schools in their respective classifications and Alexander Central is closer to the bottom in admin numbers. Don't know the man but it looks like he may be doing more with less.

I believe AC and ND are two of the smaller 4a schools in the state. I believe ND has smaller numbers than AC. But both communities love softball and put in a lot of hard work.

Congrats to all the winning teams, but extra congrats to East Surry on 4 in a row!

The problem around here is, if they find out you are going to have a strong softball team, they will build a new school and divvy up your team.

I bet many people didn't know how they decide to build new schools. I didn't either until they started building them 5 miles apart. We got a new one coming in Rolesville just for that purpose.
