    Timing of the tournament

    A lot of thought went into the planning of this tournament. We had to choose the lesser of all the evils, so to speak.
    Starting this coming weekend, the conflicts are too great to try and host a qualifier of this caliber. NC HS graduations, showcase season kicking into to high gear, and on and on. We decided to make the call to host it while there were only 16 HS teams that would be in the mix at Walnut Creek. That is the only real conflict that we were up against. I had one player that did graduate last weekend myself. The other 9 graduate this weekend. I had one player at the NC HS state and one in the VA HS states. We will always try to make the most informed decision when scheduling qualifiers that carry the elusive national berth.

    I sure would like to have a completed bracket, if you have one. Thanks! We really enjoyed the tournament, and the ballpark was BEAUTIFUL! Very well run tournament, with great umps!
