    Time to move on.

This may be to simplistic of a response to your outlook regarding this team, but if it is really that bad, then this team will be no longer very soon. Parents and players do not need to put up with a coach that yells, screams and berates. There are a ton of teams out there in softball land. My suggestion would be to find another one.

    Good luck!!

I don't know the details of this situation but I do on occasion work with a couple of the Spirits teams and I can assure you that I haven't witnessed what you describe.

The Spirits I know are very much into learning and teaching not only the skill of the sport but the spirit of competition and sportsmanship. They reach out in many directions to find the knowledge to teach these things.

When you're learning and growing there is always going to be differences of opinion. How you handle those differences will determine if you learn anything from them.

We've all seen flare ups from time to time. This is going to happen. These aren't mean people; they are just like everyone else, they want the best for their kids. Sometimes the approach is wrong but it is more likely an error of the mind, not an error of the heart. Hopefully, this will result in a stronger team once cooler heads prevail.

The Spirits organization is in it for the kids. They work hard to provide for the kids and I'm sure they'll turn this into a positive.

I'm sure they'll get wind of this and understand that they represent their whole organization (and the sport of softball as far as that goes) wherever they go. Like I said, I believe this will end up being a positive. All organizations have conflict from time to time. If not, they aren't really reaching out to find better and best.

Everyone who has been in softball or baseball knows that if you ask ten different coaches how to do something you'll get ten different answers. And mine will be the only one that's right! :smug:
