Final 4 was Curve, Blues, Cardinals, and Flames. Triangle Lightning and Foothills HEAT - Latham went home tied for 5th.

I know Curve beat Lady Blues in the winner's bracket championship, but have not heard anything since?

    Cardinals lost to the Flames

We lost to the Flames 8-7.
Girls played well, just ran out of gas.
12 games in 5 days was a bit much for them.
Lady Blues lost to the Curve. They were playing the Flames when we left.

    Congrats Curve!

Jeff has his team playing very well right now. They are hitting the ball as good as any team I have seen and Lexi is plum nasty pitching!

Curve 6 Lady Blues Elite 4 in Championship of ASA State.

Congrats to Jeff and his Curve team for winning the 2011 NC ASA State Championship. Well earned and well deserved. This team has a strong lineup from 1 to 9, and the pitching of Lexi Shubert, Katie Carnes, and Hannah Alexander is a tough trio to beat. This team is aggressive, with very good speed and power. I expect them to finish very high at the upcoming ASA 18u Nationals in Normal, IL.

    Final order of finish:
    1. Carolina Curve
    2. Lady Blues Elite
    3. NC Flames
    4. Carolina Cardinals
    5. Foothills Heat - Latham and Triangle Lightning

Wanted to give a shout out to the young ladies on the Lady Blues Elite team. This group played great over the weekend going 6 & 2, with both losses coming to the hands of the Curve (9-5 and 6-4). The Blues girls displayed a great never die attitude. With no college players and only 3 graduating seniors, Moni Armendarez has done a great job of bringing this team together. It was a late night on Sunday, as the Curve and Blues didn't get to leave Springwood Park till nearly 11pm. I want to wish Moni and the Blues well as they head to Boulder, CO. to play in the Independence Day Tournament this week.

Rick and his Cardinals team will also be playing in Boulder this week, and want to wish them good luck as well.
