We had a very good team worthy of the player's recognition and our coach is on the committee

    Congratulations to all the players!

Not taking anything at all away from the players but I have a question. Is there a limit to how many players from one team can be selected? I was under the impression that there was a formula for the number that could be nominated for All District and All State is selected from All District, right?

Does anyone know the answer to this? Please don't whine, I'm just looking for answers for future reference.

I'm sure that Glenn had a good team and I don't really want to start something here, but I just don't see how you can justify selecting EIGHT all-state players from a team that went 18-8 and didn't get past the second round in the 4A state tournament. This means that Glenn had all-state players at EVERY position except 3B (wonder how she feels after being left out?). This is as many all-state players as the combined total of three of the four teams in the 4A final four: AC (5), Holly Springs (2), and Clayton (1).

I also note that TEN players from Glenn were selected as "all district."

IMHO, it diminishes the honor of all-district/all-state to have this many players selected from a single team. And no one coach should have this much control over the selection process.

Congrats to those girls, but I just have to question when you get more girls than the two teams that battled for the champioship.

I congratulate everyone that made it, but still have some doubt on the process. In 2010 you had a kid that was the conference player of the year in her conference, made all district, but did not make all state, while several other kids from her team and the conference were all state.
