    Boulder Friday

    Cards were 1-1 Friday.
    Lost to the Texas Blaze Gold
    Won over CA USA Athletics to finish 4-2 in our pool. We finished as the #2 seed out of our pool. Single elimination starts today for us at 1:15 vs PA Blazing Angels.

    What a week.
    We finished up Sat. night.
    We won our our first elimination game vs PA Blazing Angels 8-1 then fell to the Corona Angels Marty in the 2nd round. Our girls played very well for 3 innings, then the wheel ran off.
    The Corona Angels are loaded with UCLA, Nebraska, Washington, Cal, AZ St., and AZ recruits. One of the strongest hitting teams we have ever played.
    All in all, this was one of the best weeks I have ever spent on a ballfield. Went 7-4 on the week (including scrimmages) and were very competitive.
    Already looking forward to next year!

    the Angels are one of the better teams in country. Have won Boulder and ASA Gold in past.

    Marty Tyson's Angels team finished 2 in 14U nationals and promptly jumped 16's to play 18 Gold. They would be a 2nd year 16U team like ours, They can bust some heads with the best of them,

    Not so sure about that

    From the roster I saw, out of the 24 kids he had at the tournament, approx. 1/2 were '11s and the rest mainly '12s. Don't know many '11s that are still 16U eligible.
