Was there many College scouts or not....opinions anyone?

I've always been told that it's a great tournament but not much on the college scouts-I'm assuming the date has alot to do with it....any feedback?

    Over 40 colleges in attendance

I don't have the exact count from the sign in sheets yet (because I have been trying to catch up on work around the house).
I know about 30 different schools signed in at Cherry Park over the course of the tournament.

Moving the date this year helped with the number in attendance.
    Here is a little history.
The first year was good with upwards of 50 coming to Raleigh due to travel restrictions being imposed.
Last year was way off due to some schools being given the green light to go out west again and it was an ASA qualifier.
I was very pleased with the turnout this year. I have had a lot of positive comments on the turnout.

We (crush 16U) had 4 coaches follow us for most of the tournament. Winthrop, Gardner Webb, Mars Hill and SMC. I also saw several more including UNCC, UNCG, Newberry, Guilford and Limestone. I am sure others attended. We only gave up 6 runs in 9 games and scored quite a bit. The Diamond Thunder had the 2 best pitchers that we faced all weekend.

I am excited about moving up and playing 18U during the 12th-14th. We played that tournament last season with the Gators and i was really impressed with the nummber of coaches. We are currently 2nd on the waiting list. I certainly hope Rick can squeeze us in.
