    I know the Lady Lightning has a team and Carolina Elite has a team playing in this event. Good Luck to both.

    This is a showcase event with uncommitted players only.

    Carolina Elite is a mix of four teams. Elite 16U, 14U, 16U Pack and 16U Crush
    There are 2 NC girls on this team,

    I hope the Lightning will update their scores

    Finished 13th

    Texas Glory 3 Elite 1 finished 13th. If I read the bracket right Lightning was at the same spot in the bracket. I am not sure of their scores or if they advanced but overall good showing for the local teams.

    The Lady Lightning entry finished 7th out of a field of 50, going 6-2 in bracket play. The team was made up of players from 5 different teams in NC.

    The Adidas Futures tournament is for uncommitted players only and the talent was impressive. There were teams from across the country and the order on finish was

    1. SD Renegades
    2. Colorado Stars
    3. Teamsmith (Socal)
    4. Socal Fillies
    5. USA Rising Stars (Socal)
    5. TN Fury
    7. Lady Lightning
    7. NW Bullets

    Congrats and thanks to both the Carolina Elite and Lady Lightning orgs for sponsoring teams and representing Carolina softball.

    Renegades

    After playing the Renegades it surprised me to see them finish on top. Hopefully come nationals time we can knock some of the west coast teams out of these top spots. Good luck to your team in the next few weeks!
