Who should be the new head coach for Myers Park?

I think misinformation here. Offer made this week to a myers park alum that played under Greg Clewis

I've known Coach Burnett for over 5 years going back to his days at Southern Lee HS were he coached my son. As to an earlier post, he will absolutely be a year round coach, extremely dedicated, knowledgeable, great developer of players, and a winner. Look at his track record at Southern Lee at least 15 wins for 5 years in a row and a conference championship, Southern Lee was horrible before Coach Burnett. One thing I can tell you about Coach Burnett is that the best and most dedicated players will play at Myers Park regardless of grade, or who the kids parents are, or think they are! Myers Park baseball is very lucky to have Coach Burnett, your AD made an outstanding decision to hire him, trust me you guys are gonna love him. Congrats to Myers Park and Coach Burnett!

 

Not sure what the misinformation quotes above are about, I know for a fact that Coach Burnett has been hired as the HC of Myers Park HS, and is currently in the process of moving to Charlotte.

 

Great Post and good information. It would be nice to know if Burnett is really the coach. Some folks out eastern NC way, say it's so, but then someone posted it is a Myers Park Grad. When someone knows please post for sure that Burnett is the Head Coach.

 

Thanks, I see your post now. Great news and I have a feeling MP will be a baseball program on the rise. There is no reason they can't be in the conversation with the best the West has to offer every year.

 

I think the post indicated an offer had been made to an MP grad...didn't say he accepted the offer.

 

I can't believe you think Coach Capps did a good job with the JV team at Myers Park. I am the Head JV coach at Hopewell High School and Coach Capps acted like a jerk during our game. Myers Park beat us by over 20 runs and he never made a single substitution. As a matter of fact, he was still stealing and sending guys from 1st to 3rd while up by 20 runs. A class act??? There is a difference between winning a baseball game and purposely embarassing another team. I think he was an embarassment and if I had a son on that team I would be upset.
