Pitt has baseball, Syracuse does not.

would syracuse consider adding baseball since the ACC is much more competitive in baseball than the big east? have they ever had it?

    equal opportunity under the law

I suspect such a decision would be guided by Title IX compliance at Syracuse.

Weather the Weather Be Hot, or Not

Weather in Syracuse would be a huge issue unless they had an indoor facility. People seldom know how horrific the winter/spring is in that area of the country.

I really don't see this expansion as being any type of gain for the ACC. Except for new TV markets, these schools don't add to what is already here. Now, if they add UConn, the ACC would be getting ESPN's "home team".

Can you imagine how screwed up the baseball schedule will be each year due to games cancelled because of weather?

    COLD in Pitt

Yes, it should be shivering in Pittsburgh for a 3 game weekend set in March.

    ... I'm Sure

Pitt will be heading South for conference games early in the season.

No different then what App State faces each year. Besides, win or lose, players from those schools would welcome to see "green trees" in Feb and March. I don't believe a team can enter the ACC without fielding a spring sport team.

While on topic, the rich sure do get richer don't they? Texas A&M adds to the SEC power on the diamond.

Is this a bad or good thing the direction conferences are going. Soon there maybe only 4 major conferences. Perhaps the ACC should go after Boise St and Utah. Apparently, distances (although should be) is not a concern.

Ah, what the heck. Let the ACC scoop up Notre Dame, as well.
