Jeremy Montalbano has committed to Arkansas!

Jeremy plays catcher/pitcher/first base, and attends Seven Lakes High School in Texas. Congratulations to Sam and his family - parents Tony and Janice, sisters Allison and Lindsay, and brother Tony.

Can you give us a little more info about this signee? Not too many players from Texas play for a NC summer team. This is cool!:bananalama:

Lil Mantalbano is the younger brother of Tony M (Charlotte 49er INF/OF)
Lil Tony came to Charlotte from a Texas JUCO. Shortly after his arrival at Charlotte, his father (Tony Sr.) received an opportunity for transfer to Charlotte. Tony Sr. is living in South Charlotte area, while the wife and younger kids finish High School in Texas. This is a solid Baseball family!

The Mantalbanos are originally from New Orleans.

Congratulations Jeremy, Tony Sr, and Janice! Great Family!, great kids!

Both the M brothers can MASH!

Braves, You need to join me at some 49er games this year!

    No Recruiting Allowed!

First, congrats to the Montalbano family and Jeremy - great young man!

We will be sending you some teammates from NC to Arkansas.

It is my understanding that the family will be relocating to Charlotte from Houston after Jeremy's senior year.

Jeremy was a guest with SCP this summer and there was an immediate recruiting frenzy between several parents representing AK and Providence. Their skills fell short as Jeremy decided he would spend his senior season at his high school in Houston.

(For the record, I have it on good authority that he would have been an AK Knight if he would have transferred. --- we are still working on a possible Holiday transfer! Coach Hignight - he doesn't like black and gold.)
