    Gameday grub

    It sure is quiet around here...............Football is officially over.

    It's BASEBALL season.................I suppose it will snow the first week of play seeing how goofy this winter weather has been so far this year.

    Let's talk game day food...... How bout the best eatery within a mile or so of your school. For me it's Picadeli's Pub on Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Only a few blocks form Butler. Possibly the best wings in Charlotte, period !! Oh, yeah -
    killer deli sandwiches, rings and nachos.

    How about Dive N on South Blvd. in Pineville? Right around the corner from Jack Hughes -- Catholic's home field. Unbelievable burgers and onion rings! The breakfast ain't too shabby either! By the way, I think South Meck's preseason ranking is very low. The Sabres, in my mind, will be awfully tough in 2012!

    I honestly fear every conference game we play, it does not matter who. Like I said a few years ago, "any given day in the SW4A". Great coaching, excellent scouting of each other and hidden talent find you out when you least expect it. You know what I'm talking about..........

    I have always enjoyed Kristopher's wings in your neighborhood.

    But when it comes to food, we will've to wait for Braves to weigh-in and give the official review.

    Now thats what I'm talking about, nice job Baylee, I'll make a note.
    I remember hammering Capt. Steves on Monroe Rd. a few times during EM's Spring Break tourney. I wasn't sure the bleachers would hold me afterwards.....lol

    We are getting close boys, hope all out players stay healthy...

    scrimmages 2-18-12

    Butler wins at East Gaston 20-2 in game 1.
    Hopewell then wins over Butler in second game which was 3-2 late
    when I left. The final was around 6-2 or 7-2 or so I was told.
    Nice weather for mid Feburary...
