have talked to a couple of kids who played there last year. A couple is not a lot so take this thought with that in mind.

    Main thoughts:
    decent competition not outstanding
    very heavy game schedule
teams fairly spread out and travel is on your own as a player
the couple I spoke with are not going back primarily because of the last item.

Again---very very small sample set, but that is what I know and you were looking for some feedback. Wouldn't make any kind of decisions based on this alone.

    Depends on the team

I think the lack or responses may be due to this board's support of the SCBL and no one really wants to make generic comments about some organization which is just an opinion.

But my son played 2 years ago in the CVSCL and last year in the SCBL. I can say that the SCBL experience was far better than the CVSCL. In general, the SCBL is much better organized, better and more consistent talent level, consistent schedule, less travel, better local support, basically better in every category.

However, there are a few teams in the CVSCL, like Kernersville and Catawba, which compare very well with the SCBL, may even have an edge in certain categories, but the rest of the league does not. There are the haves and have nots.

The SCBL play strictly amongst itself, while the CVSCL plays teams from the Coastal Plains League, etc., which is good and bad. BaseballX3's post is right on - most teams in the CVSCL are like HS travel teams where there is extra cost and inconvenience and some teams are unorganized.

So if you can get on one of the elite teams in the CVSCL, you will probably like it. If not, the talent level, expense, and inconvenience of the CVSCL may be an issue for you. As usual I've used 10 times as much verbage to say what someone else (BaseballX3) already stated. But hope this helps you.
