Someone please shoot holes in my claims. I hear the response that they were good for "my son" and I would sure hope so for the money you paid. Pay me $4500 a year and I will get your kid placed in the college division they belong; however, I can't get a kid signed with a D1 team to be a career bench warmer. One of those integrity things. You know I will talk to that coach again & he will also talk to other college coaches so it means a lot to me to tell him the truth about a kid. Really just forget that I suggested taking money to help a kid get into college baseball because I'm not interested. I will continue to do it for free. When that is not good enough then I will just go fishing.

No need to rant...the Dirtbags/Canes/Panthers stories have been told almost as many times as the birth of Jesus. It's a free world and nobody held a gun to anyone's head to make them pay to play for those teams. We paid less than half of what you suggested and had more fun than going to Disney World...and spent less money than that ill-advised family trip to Orlando about ten years ago. I'm still smarting from spending $500 to walk through the gates of Universal Studios theme park!

When youth and advanced-level baseball is about the pursuit of experiences and not about the pursuit of a spot on a college team it is a lot more satisfying....

 

I've always heard there is no fee(ie $$$) to play for panthers. Is this not true?

By the way, Andy has done a great job for the NC kids for over 10 years. I can't imagine what the modern day showcase landscape would be like without his beginning it in NC. But I sure know what it was like before him

Thanks Lollie. I did figure it out thanks to Texasleaguer. Aguyyouknow, see u have me confused with a glass half empty kinda person & that's not me. I believe in people & relationships. Look at my posts on TBR & ask anyone that knows me, my loyalty is to the kids. I will never make excuses for defending them. I'm not bitter & obviously the vengeful part is debatable, but mess with any kid & I will not be your side. Still looking for rebuttal to my initial claims. I am guilty of picking a fight, and I apologize for that, but I really want to get to the facts. Only clarification so far I've declared that I was wrong. Really want someone to prove me wrong on my other beefs.

 

I do respect you and have always enjoyed your posts. But I do, respectfully, disagree with your point of view. I'm not sure it is directed more towards showcase baseball, in general, or only Impact Baseball. But I will try to offer a different point of view. It's not for me to say it's the right one, but it's different than yours.
