    y'all sound like a bunch of teenage girls fighting over whatever silly things teenage girls fight about.

    But not you Braves - no way anybody ever confuses you for a teenager :wheelchair:

    The earliest that the NCAA's National Letter of Intent for baseball may be signed is November of the high school senior year. As a result, the recruiting period is extremely active for rising seniors; most of whom are playing for either showcase or American Legion teams.

    From my perspective, it's too bad that a thread that began as a simple request to provide scores from around the state has devolved into what this has become. I'm in wossa's camp.

    Dude - uh, I mean Guy - I asked that the cute memory I shared not be bashed. It was just that: a cute memory. It was," boys being boys." Thought it might draw a smile from someone, somehow. There is no way a respectable, respected man like Chad would do something like that now. (Besides, his socks aren't high anymore.)

    Sorry I even typed it. :sadley:

    Lighten up prepster,

    ..:lovestory::lovestory::lovestory::lovestory::lovestory:

    What is wrong with good healthy discussions when people have differing opinions? TBR will become less of a jewel if it insists on only agreeing views.
    ...:scooter::scooter::scooter::scooter::scooter::scooter:

    Might as well add a rule for TBR that says: "To stay on,
    get along". Most posters don't want that.

    I played for Chad and coached with Chad. If you want to know anything about this man and his care for the kids in the Area, this is the guy to go to. Area III All-Star game is all because this man and a few other legion coaches had an idea and went with it. Area III Legion players got their exposure before the all-star game with a showcase for the past 4 years and I'm sure it will happen again this year. I worked the showcase with him and know how hard he works to get all of this stuff done. He doesn't want any of the credit, he just wants the kids to move on and get recognized. Chad Loflin is a great great man and he knows that I would do anything for him too.

    Are we done yet?

    Bottom line: Andy is great...Chad is great. Case closed.

    Whew!....maybe we can also agree to hold off on any Showcase vs. Legion stuff until June 1st

    My name is Andy Partin, I own Impact Baseball, Inc. and Dirtbags Baseball, LLC.

    First of all, Tom hope you and everyone here is doing well. This will be my only post.

    I’ll make a rebuttal to Chad Loflin’s response to my man Trey Daly’s request for high school baseball scores and his other statements.

    My dad always told me if I have a problem with someone/something to go directly to the source. I will say he’d be highly disappointed if he knew I was on a message board replying to such ignorance. Personally, I don’t think I could look at myself in the mirror if I got on a public forum such as this and attacked an individual or organization. It would never cross my mind to get on a message board and belittle a person or an organization. In fact, it wouldn’t even be an option for me. I was just raised that way.

    Now, it is clearly your opinion if you feel like Impact Baseball, Inc. is a “joke.” The majority will disagree with you and of course some will agree with you.

    It is a fact, Impact Baseball, Inc. makes money. If you are in business to lose money, then you are an idiot. I’m sure you don’t try to lose money with your concrete business or whatever it is you do.

    When you refer to the kids being “players before they come to you” I 100% agree with you. But you are basically implying I don't make kids any better or do anything for them. Obviously this is false... I coach high school baseball players, not 4 year olds. We don’t have a market yet to teach kids baseball who have never played before. Bottom line, we are a lot like the top college baseball programs in the fact we are looking for the best baseball players in North Carolina. We aren’t looking for the worst… And if anyone says kids don’t get better playing for me then they are mistaken. I take great pride in helping develop players on and off the field, teaching fundamentals and how to approach the game the right way.

    You referred to me as not a “real coach.” I don’t even know how to begin responding to that… An absolutely ridiculous thought...

    You quote “A real game involves team work & sacrifice...” This one doesn’t sit well with me at all. Basically you are saying all the kids I have coached don’t sacrifice themselves for the game and don’t utilize team concepts. This is insulting to all the kids I have coached, and arguably the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

    Now, as far as your issue with the Dirtbags baseball club being Co-Champions; to be clear, it is “World” Champion, not “National” Champion… The best 85 teams from the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico compete in this particular event. And I couldn’t be prouder to be called “Co-World Champions” standing side by side with my coaches, players and Chet Lemon's Juice. But again, you are trying to take something away from all those kids (who you are supposed to be all about, right?) that accomplished so much over those 5 days and during the time in our organization over the years. That’s sad…

    You said - “Quit preying on these kids and get a real job.” Well at my “fake job” we clearly don’t prey on kids… We actually do a really good job at helping kids, parents, college coaches and professional scouts and have a lot of fun doing it! Our goal today is the same as it was 11 years ago when I started Impact Baseball, Inc. from my two bedroom apartment in Greenville, NC; and that is to help as many kids, college coaches and professional scouts as possible.

    I do appreciate the compliment about being a great judge of talent. I feel like I’m a good evaluator, but I still have much to learn. I have been contacted by more than one MLB organization about becoming a full-time scout, but I’m not interested.

    I’m not sure how my company “exploits” the game as you stated. I’m pretty sure the game of baseball is a multi-billion dollar business. Charging people for tournaments, camps, lessons, advice and information is not exploiting the game. Take a look around at virtually every business in America if that’s how you want to look at things.

    You mentioned $4500? That would cover 3 years in the Dirtbags baseball program.

    And how is going to a Duke basketball game a bad PR move? If anything was a bad PR move it was your initial response to the opening topic.

    You question – “What is a true percentage of kids retained within the program after they sign letters of intent??” The answer is about 99%.

    Lastly, it sounds like you do a really good job in Kernersville, NC helping kids. I tip my cap to you. I truly wish you and your American Legion program continued success. Next time, contact me/us privately to discuss your concerns.

    Thank you to all of those with kind words. Again, I will not post anything else.

    Best of luck to all – Andy Partin

    Camp Fire needed

    I am thinking a group hug and Kumbaya around the camp fire would be good for everyone.
