The Catamounts picked up a nice win in Athens this evening, defeating the 8th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 5-3. All-American Ross Heffley homered and shot a bases loaded single through the left side to power the offense. The story of the game was the pitching led by junior lefty Adam Curtis who stylishly picked his way through the Georgia lineup, making the tough pitches when needed and keeping the hard-swinging Bulldogs off balance. Hot-hitting Aaron Attaway lined the first pitch of the game up the middle and former HS teammate Dykota Speiss drilled a double to left center to set the tone early. Preston Hatcher came in to close things out by getting the last five outs.

Absolutely a huge win for Western Carolina and another big win for the SoCon. Way to go Catamounts!

Baseball is a crazy game. Western Illinois beat Georgia this past weekend.

But then again, Georgia only has two L's this year. WCU and WIU.

Sounds like they better not schedule any teams that start with Western:laugh1:
