    EM tops MP

Justadad, I agree that it seemed like MP was going to make a run at anytime and that did make it seem like it was closer than the score. But I went back and looked at the book and MP only had 1 runner reach third and only had 2 runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs. David Marvin, the EM pitcher, seemed to be able to force a ground ball or pop up at will.

The miss played ball in left put MP in a bad hole but didn't matter because their offense never had any flow.

Good game and a good rivalry....fun to watch the kids compete.

    EM v MP

Great game over at Coach Dave Jones Park. Well played by both sides and the atmosphere was great as it always seems to be when the Eagles and Mustangs tangle. One thing I can say for sure, Coach Koppe develops pitchers as well as anyone around. With Marvin, Ashworth, Sherer, and Webster the has a deep and dangerous rotation. As long as the Eagles can scratch out some runs, they'll be in the thick of the SW4A race again this year.

    Butler 5 Rocky River 2

Butler scored 5 in the top of the 4th to beat pesky Rocky River 5-2. The inning was highlighted by Malachi Hanes no out 2 run double then Troy Neil's 2 run single. Matt Baltimore tossed 5 complete to pick up his first win. RR rallied to load the bases with 2 outs in the 7th, but Tyler Wilson closed the door with a strike out to end it. Galloway took the loss.

Blake Sides had a great night for the Ragin' Bulls. Not only going the distance on the mound, but striking out 16, smacked double with 2 RBI. Parker Henderson had his second HR of the season. Senior Josh Chapman also went 2for2.
