Let me hear you thoughts. What are we missing? Any good story ideas?

The coverage thus far seems much better than in past years....hope you can sustain it through the entire season. Suggestion: spread it around...there are lots of top shelf programs in the Charlotte area and many vigorously contested games throughout the area. Everyone loves the feature stories (like the South Meck profile a few weeks ago), but the expanded reports on game action has really been a noticeable step-up.

Sure would like to see a little better College Baseball coverage for NC and upstate SC schools.

    STATS

I assume all the stats are "self reported" by the schools? and that is the reason some schools seem to be all over the lists and some schools obviously are not on the list? i.e. Providence HS? Thanks for all you do.

The stories are mostly about the same schools. While my son graduated from SM (you have covered them) I have coached many players from other schools that I still like to follow. Would like to see these young men get some print from other schools such as Butler, Porter Ridge, Parkwood, Independence etc.

I agree! With the Tool Man being part of a Top 30 team, nothing is said in our local paper about App. State.

I don't handle college baseball. Our college editor is Harry Pickett [email protected]

Yes schools are asked to report to our Paperman system, which you can follow online here

Higgy is somewhat, um, superstitious about releasing stats.

Probably a little less coverage on some specific schools....as they already have enough ink to last them the rest of the century....and you know who those schools are.....I am a high school baseball fanatic and even I have gotten tired of hearing the same names and schools.....
