How do you get a bat re-stamped?
One of our players has an Easton less than a year old that the stamp has worn off. Umpire says it can't be used until it is re-stamped. Any suggestions?

I carry the list of approved bats with me to all games because of that same thing. With the list the umpires can check the bat if they question it.

I have seen numerous bats this year that have been knicked up to the point you cant read the writing on the barrel. They look like they have been taking BP with rocks. I asked one coach how are the bats getting so knicked up, and he said the girls are hitting their spikes with the bat. I guess instead of hitting the side of their shoe to knock the dirt out their hitting the spikes. I cant for the life of me figure out why these girls would be ruining $300 bats.

If your bat is just marked up with ball scuffs you can just clean it with soap warm water and elbow grease. If it is knicked up there isnt much you can do about it. Have your DD pay for her bats and she if she keeps them in better shape. A one year old bat should not have the certification stamp worn off.

If I can tell what model the bat is and I know its not banned I would let that go. By rule the umpire has every right to disallow the bat.

Not my dd.This is one of the kids on the HS team. Mine did pay for hers.
Bat should not be worn that much in a year....but it is. So....I go back to my original question....The umpire instructed her to have the bat re-stamped. What is the process one must go through to have a bat re-stamped?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Any answers......I'm bettin on seeing this guy tomorrow. I hate to think he would be giving this directive to a kid if it were not a realistic option.
