Charlotte Country Day 8 Providence Day 3

vCountry Day won by the score of 8-3. The winning pitcher was Paul Barnhill, and the losing pitcher was Andrew Burnick. Barnhill is now 1-0 on the season. The leading hitters for Country Day were: Colin Walls, 2 for 3 (Grand Slam HR, 4 RBIs), Jordan Greene, 1 for 3 (double, RBI), Jimmy Kleitches, 1 for 3 (double, RBI), and Patrick Brady, 1 for 2. The leading hitters for Providence Day were: Monroe Donnelly, 1 for 2 (HR, 2 RBIs), and Daniel Stack, 2 for 3.

Barnhill threw four strong innings, and Country Day benefited from an outstanding running catch by centerfielder Ben Kepley, crashing into the fence to rob a home run. Walls' grand slam followed an intentional walk issued by Providence Day.

North Meck down 2-0 in the B6
Ryder Ryan with 10 Ks so far

North Meck new head coach, Andy Carter, allegedly ejected for asking why a bat was removed from the game before it started. North Meck also gets a blown call and it costs them a run killing a rally. Stand by for the final score and maybe a better account from someone who was there.

Ragsdale has gone 1-1 so far this week. They are now 8-4, 4-2 in the conference. A game behind SW Guilford. They play them twice next week and play @ East Forsyth Friday so they have a big week coming before Spring Break.

Wednesday night they lost 10-1 from a team from PA, Upper St. Claire. That team was loaded. Looked like a team full of linebackers out there. I swear every one of them looked like they were 6'2" 220.

On Tuesday night they pounded out 17 hits in a 13-3 win over Parkland in six innings. In two games this year Ragsdale outscored Parkland 30-4. And shhhhh, nobody tell aguyyouknow about this game. He might be shocked to hear that with the 17 hits in under six complete innings Ragsdale batted OVER .500 as a team...

    Indy 8 Butler 1

Butler has fallen down and can't get up. The entire team is trying to hit a 6 run home run every time they step to the plate. It is time to step back, take a breath and have fun again. Until then, they will continue to fail.
Indy, on the other hand DID having fun and really took it to Butler. Sophmore James Hickes threw a nice game and grew more confident every inning. Skittles (Saulsbury) continued to impress with his bat with 3 hits as well as Lekavich. Butler heads into the East Meck tournament with something to prove........time to step it up boys.

Providence is now 7-0 in league play. This is AK's first conf loss. I'm sure someone will have a wrap up.

I know about those guys. My son plays with a couple of them in the summer. Nice Job. Another run deep into the playoffs for this bunch?
