    Cox Mill 5 JM Robinson 3

    Travis Watkins throws a complete game and also hits a key two run home run to get the Chargers offense going. Philip Perry pitched a complete game for JM in the loss. Cox Mill evens their SPC record at 5 - 5 while Robinson drops to 7 - 3.

    Tried to get the game continued ,, didnt happen, Central gets the win .

    You just can not take a nap on anybody in this league.

    Which is the rule or so I thought.. they give examples of rulings in the body of the bylaws which are confusing at best. However once reading twice the rule above applies. Seeing the game went past the 4 1/2 innings, not sure why it was appealed????

    Thanks Lollie and JD, yea its pretty crappy when you fall behind in a ballgame and then weather comes into play, but thats the way it goes sometimes. Lord dont get me started on weather and baseball, Ive seen legion playoff series reduced from 7 games, to 5 games, to 3 games, all the way down to whichever team won Game 1. Sometimes it stinks, but you gotta have rules.

    Btw did you guys hear that NE Medical bought into the Kannapolis Intimidators stadium? It is now called CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Maybe somebody can get that bunch to build a dome over that stadium? Or artificial turf? :twocents: Dont laugh, they got the jingle.

    TUES
    Crest 6 Cox Mill 0 - 0-0 after 5 innings - Chargers with opportunities in the first 4 innings but could not push a run across - Austin Mace with a great effort on the mound

    WED
    Burns 5 Cox Mill 0 - the Chargers got 3 hit by a sidearm pitcher that threw nasty. Luke Pepper, Marshall keyes with hits for the Chargers - DJ Smith with a strong effort on the mound

    THURS
    Cox Mill 11 Gaston Christian 1 - Luke Pepper goes 5 strong innings, giving up 2 hits while walking 1 and striking out 10 for the win - Sean Monaghan played awesome at 3rd base with a couple major league plays. Travis watkins played well as always -
