    Southeastern Baseball Classic - Hartsville, SC

    After yesterday's nail biter, we're looking for any and all red dots in the store windows(thank you Post15fan). Cuthbertson came from a 2 point deficit in the first inning to move ahead of Gaffney, SC. in the 6th inning. Mostly on manufactured runs.

    Drake Zupcik scored the 1st run on a suicide squeeze. It was the type of day.

    Cuthbertson -3
    Gaffney - 2

    WP - Brandon Setzer

    Cuthbertson has St Ignatius today. I was wrong yesterday....this team is from Cleveland, OH.

    Good Job Scoring Points Cuthbertson

    It doesn't matter how many "points" your team scores as long as it's one more "point" than the other team.

    I'm just having some fun texasleaguer so don't take it personally but PLEASE tell me you're not the official scorekeeper for Cuthbertson!

    And ya'll wonder why the stats are so messed up and why they have no value!

    PS) I love Drake Zupcic. What a talented kid! Fast, good stick. Lots of tools. I hope he leads the league in points scored this year. I know it would make his Dad very proud to tell all his former Red Sox teammates about his ability to score points.

    While I'm on my WEEKLY ROLL let me talk about another one of my pet peeves................ The way people report (or mention or talk about) scores. Ever notice that on ESPN or anyplace else for that matter the score is always reported using the higher score FIRST! It's NEVER 2 to 4 or "We Won 1 to 7" Get a clue and STOP IT!

    Pick42...We play at 11:00AM this morning and are then seeded for Saturday based on W-L record. The field is Jimmy White Park, which is located at Kelleytown Stadium.

    Cuthbertson - 3
    St Ignatius - 2

    Cuthbertson pulled out another one today in Hartsville. Trailing 1 - 2 in the bottom of the 7th, John Mangum had a single. Drake Zupcik sac bunted to move John over to 2nd. Andrew Hendel came through with a double and an error getting him over to 3rd and scoring Mangum. Kyle Oulette crushed a sac fly ball to deep center bringing in the winning run.

    WP - CG - Cameron Tekker

    Cuthbertson to play for the championship tomorrow. Not really sure what time because some teams might want to leave early due to travel distance. This truly has been a well run tournament from both the city of Hartsville and the folks running the event.

    Trailing ONE TO TWO????? I had such high hopes for you. You didn't read my last post did you.

    Thanks for keeping us updated on Cuthbertson though. Great news!
