College Baseball?

I will be entering college as a freshmen and I want to play some form of baseball. Although I am a pinch-hitter, and do not play a position in the field, do I have a shot at playing in college? What about DH'ing?

 

What school will you be attending? Some colleges have club teams that will have open tryouts in the fall. There are roster limitations like the varsity teams that they must adhear to, so they carry more pitchers but they can carry up to 35 players I think.

These teams will play 35-50 games and have a regional tournament for the top teams in the region with the winner advancing to the college club world seriers that is formatted like the varsity (8 teams, double elimination). There are even club all-american teams.

Some college varsity teams use their club team as a farm club, sending and pull players up and down.

Some club teams not only schedule games against other club teams but also will play varsity squads from JC, DIII, and even some DII teams.

This maybe a good place for you to look if do not have anything at this time. The are also priority walk-ons, but usually the varsity coach knows about these players before they arrive on campus.
