2012 Weddington Catcher Andrew Knight to Catawba

    We are very excited to inform you that Andrew Knight (2012 Weddington H.S.) has verbally committed to Catawba College. Andrew has worked his butt off for this opportunity and is very well deserved. Good things come to good people my man!

    He is a true competitor and always plays the game the right way, his
    phenomenal work ethic and determination on the field, as well as the
    classroom, has earned him the opportunity to join Coach Gantt and the
    Indians Baseball Program.

    We are very proud of Andrew's accomplishments and his decision to
    continue his education and baseball career at Catawba College.
    Congratulations to Andrew and his parents, Buzz and Debbie and coach Poole at Weddington.

    Awesome, great kid, full of hustle. Andrew has stepped up his game and will be a great addition at Catawba. Congrats young man..

    Great job Andrew!

    I couldn't have said it better. I've watched Andrew since he and my son played 8 year old All Stars together at WCWAA. Always in the right spot, always working hard, and has character. Catawba College will be a better school for having him on Campus.

    Congratulations to Buz and Debbie and Coach Poole.

    Coach Gantt is uncanny in his ability to select the right player for his program. Congratulations to Andrew and his family. It will be a great fit!

    Catawba is getting a great player and great kid. I have enjoyed watching him play and encourage his teammates. Good luck and keep up the good work.
