GAME TIME CHANGE

Central Cabarrus at Cox Mill Varsity game is moved to 4pm today (4/17) and JV to follow at 6:30pm. We are going to try and get this game in before the rain comes.

NW had to finish game with Central Cabarrus that was suspended on 4/6/12 due to lightening. Not sure on when game vs. MC will be played.

Also, thoughts and prayers for the CC players that were involved in accident yesterday afternoon. I heard there were some injuries but not sure of extent of them.

I am an East Rowan fan and I want to add my opinion to this. One...a good umpire doesn't even acknowledge that the fans are even there. He will only call the game based on the rules of the game. If a fan is belligerent and using foul language, which I have never heard an East Rowan fan do, is the only time he should acknowledge someone that is not on the baseball field. Two...a good coach will back up his players and question a call on the field. A bad call is human but one that, in the opinion of other coaches that were there, is aimed at getting the coach thrown out is wrong. Third...please don't belittle the players when you don't these young men. They play with passion and heart. I've never seen any of them start a fight and you talk like that's all they ever do. Please stop. Fourth...when East won the state title the team they played hung a mustang in effigy, cursed our fans, tried to start fights, hung signs that talked about killing players, and their players wanted to start fights with our players. I guess with this one I'm saying this, if you think East fans are bad maybe you need to broaden your prospective a bit and realize we're pretty calm compared to some. Fifth and final thought...When I say something anywhere I don't believe in hiding behind a screen name. It's easy to say things on a computer and never face the person you're talking about. So with that said, my name is Wendy Roseman and I stand behind East Rowan and it's coaches!
