Until the other day, I would have said Andrew Knight of Weddington. This is a great pick up for Catawba. I have really enjoyed watching him play the last 3 years - simply put, he's a baseball player.

Now I would say if someone is looking for a good right handed bat they should consider Ryan Smith of Sun Valley. Every time I have seen this guy play over the last 3 years, he just gets base hits. Not sure where he would play defensively but you could plug him in the line up and count on him to be a productive bat.

Ones that come to mind for me as you seem to be asking for all and not just unsigned Sr's:

Kenny Palmer 2013 Sun Valley. Has some interest out there but as of the other day no offers that I am aware of.

Jordan Watts 2013 Sun Valley. Big kid who swings it well, but probably has more upside on the bump

Derek Smith 2013 Marvin Ridge kid can pick it at SS

There are some good 2014 kids out there to keep an eye on too:

    Jake Sullivan MIF Porter Ridge
    Zach Kuchmanor LHP Marvin Ridge
    Daniel Calabretta MIF Weddington

My list is obviously not exhaustive but those guys come to mind

JM15 is in his inaugural season as a recruiting coordinator. He NEEDS players...guys that really want to play! This will be his first recruiting class and he would love to make his mark with outstanding players.

Weddington wins another tight one as the bats went quiet again. 2 runs both scored in similar fashion as a lead off bunt hit by Daniel Calabretta in the 4th resulted in him scoring from 3rd on a passed ball. In the 5th Payden Honeycutt steals third and then scores when catcher over throws 3rd basemen after a passed ball that he quickly got to and caught Payden leaning towards home.

Sean Collins gets his 3rd win with 6 innings worked, 2 hits, 2 bb and 10ks. He now has 3 earned runs and 39 k's in 24 2/3 innings.
    David Pope gets the save.

Game 3 tomorrow night at Weddington.

Chadwick with the CG Shutout .. lots of good hits for the Mavericks, but also some early poor fielding by SV

SV had Ryan Tapp for 8? innings, then Nick Norton pitched strong through mid 13 until had to leave game due to getting hit by a liner. Not sure who the last couple were.

MR had Zach Kuchmaner for 7 with 1 hit, Max Wotell for 5 with no hits, and Joe Tietjen for 2 to get the win. Top of the 14th, key DP by MR to close down a threat with SV runners on 1 and 3. SV worked it's way out of at least 3 bases loaded situations in prior innings (I think 2 with less 2 outs)

Obviously not a lot of hitting highlights.
