    Quite the Contrary

When my friend got off the plane in vietnam and he realized that they were only issuing every other soldier a rifle he knew it wasn't going to be good.

    Providence 4 Butler 3

I waited for this night (4-24) with promise as written in earlier post and was rewarded with a stellar effort by our Bulldogs. One earned run allowed in 4-3 loss. The webcast says it all. Facing PVD is honestly like facing the Yankees. 1 thru 9 is hell on any pitcher. Maybe next time.....

That's a laughable and ludicrous statement to compare any high school baseball team to the freakin Yankees.....smh! Charlotte baseball may be good but some of you live in a dream world on here........

    A Bridge TOO FAR!

I like you Tony! They're certainly NOT the yankees. Nothing Keaton can't handle if he gets the chance.

Paying $3000 bucks to go to the Cleveland Indians Fantasy Camp is fine but telling people you had a tryout with the Indians is....................

    A BRIDGE TOO FAR!!!!!!

A Bridge Too Far is a 1977 epic war film based on the 1974 book of the same name. The film tells the story of the mixed success and failure of Operation Market Garden during World War II, the Allied attempt to break through German lines and seize several bridges in the occupied Netherlands, including one at Arnhem, with the main objective of outflanking German defenses.

The name for the film comes from an unconfirmed comment attributed to British Lieutenant-General Frederick Browning, deputy commander of the First Allied Airborne Army, who told Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, the operation's architect, before the operation: "I think we may be going a bridge too far."

Hey Tony, we are talking HIGH SCHOOL baseball equivalent here........
As far as the SW4A is concerned, yes the Yankees. Ask any SW4A coach beyond the elite 2 and...........yeah. I've watched them for 4 years and coached for 10 so I've got a pretty good idea of their talent. Are you the Tony Fossas (lefty) that pitched for my beloved Red Sox?

Just a note to add to this before it comes up: They have hit more HRs on the road than at home this season.

    Look I like providence ...

But they fell behind early with their ace on the mound, made infield errors(even tho the box score has none), and got someone picked off at 2b. Still room for improvent. Like being able to hit offspeed. Thats where the 8 k's came from. However, they got bunts down. And they adjusted their approach and got base hits late and put the ball in play to win the game. Showed alot of heart.

Better game than I expected. Butler showed alot improvement since early in season. Hats off.

Any pitcher facing providence batters better have a FB with life and 2 solid offspeed pitches, and a solid, error-free defense. A plus changeup is mandatory. Hitting... better shorten up.
