Watauga only has 2 conf losses. They are 9-2 in conf and if Alexander beats South tuesday the #1 seed will come out of the Conf Tournament because these two split the series!

    9-8 SC at South
    11-3 Watauga at Wat.

Thanks. I see that Max Preps has their loss to SC posted twice and counted it as two losses.

    Glenn is 5-5 con and 14-7 non-con.
NWG is 8-3 con, I believe.
HP Central is 5-5 con, I believe.

Davie currently holds the tiebreaker over West Forsyth with two wins in the regular season.

Need some help with the MEGA-7.

There are four 4A schools that are fielding baseball teams. I think that would mean that the MEGA-7 4A schools would get three births in the bracket, thus reducing the wild cards available to one.

I see were in other sports this school year, the league had only two births, but that could be because not all four 4A schools fielded teams in that sport. In the preliminary bracket they do have three births.

They did have three last year and there was only one WC.

I think they have always fielded 2 4A teams and 2 3A teams into the playoffs -- if I'm not mistaken. Keep in mind that Catholic is a 3A school that is almost always in along with the other 3A school -- which this year will be Berry -- since Waddell is gone. The 2 4A schools going this year should be Olympic and either East Gaston or West Meck.

Just look at volleyball brackets on the NCHSAA website....know that some schools may have volleyball and not baseball or vice versa...but the volleyball and baseball brackets are the ones that are the same!

That is what I did and why I had two wild cards at first, but I think that was wrong.

There are four 4A teams (Olympic, East Gaston, West Meck, Garinger) that play baseball. They had three playoffs spots in 2011 and the NCHSAA preliminary bracket shows three 4A teams from the MEGA-7 on the bracket.

It's also the half plus one rule for the playoffs.....so it would be 3 which for a split conference like that I personally think is absurd but at least baseball is not like football where a 1-9 can get in because of the money......
