    Article in the paper said SV intentionally walked Chadwick 4 times in extra innings. Obviously, the SV pitchers did a great job working out of jams to keep the game going.

    Alex Bostic 5 inning win 1 slow roller infield hit and 1 error away from perfect game. 11 k's in 5 innings. He also hit 2 HRs and a single.
    His name is not Johnny but he is 7-7 in his last 8 plate appearances with 4 HRs, double, 2 singles and an intentional walk. To make it more interesting he has 6 home runs in his last 18 abs. He is .333 in HRs!

    SCC Tournament info

    The Southern Carolina Conference tournament will be played Thursday May 3, Friday May 4, and Monday May 7.

    1st round games will be played at the higher seed on Thursday.

    Semifinals and Finals on Friday and Monday to be played at Parkwood High School.

    Projected Tournament Pairings: (#5, #6 will not change. #3 and #4 could flip if Parkwood beats Weddington and Sun Valley loses to Anson Friday night)

    Thursday:

    Glad to see Collins get some run support. To many close games when he takes the mound. W needs to keep the bats hot for Fridays game and heading into the Conference Tournament.

    The Enquirer Journal noted that Weidman (?) broke his wrist. Tuff deal for a Senior who is a big part of the MR squad. I understand he was their leading hitter and the #2 pitcher.

    I hate to hear of these young men getting hurt, especially in their senior season. I trust he has a quick and complete recovery.

    Weddington closes out the regular season with a 9-2 win over Parkwood.

    WP- Borrelli
    LP- Conley

    Rain delay last night with W up 7-2 in the 5th. Finished this morning. Weddington added 2 more in the 6th. PW couldn't get it going to get back in it. Can't recall who hit what/ where, so I'll leave the offensive stats out.
