    One of the best!

The Piedmont/ Cuthbertson game was certainly one of the most exciting games I have watched in several years. These two teams battled from the first pitch to the last. Even in the loss we were proud of our young Piedmont team. Lets hope they can do this again in the conference tournament. After two games this year both teams have combine to score 6 runs each. The atmosphere was definitely one that had to be fun to play in. This game was the annual Austin Ring Memorial game and senior night for Piedmont. GREAT GAME!

You're right about the AAU basketball, justadad. I've been there and done that with my younger son. If people think showcase ball is a racket, they have never been to an AAU basketball tourney. Thankfully, it drove him to golf! Now I'm the luckiest man in the world -- I've got a college-bound baseball playing son and another son that I can play golf with for the rest of my life. It's funny how things work out -- everything happens for a reason, I guess. More importantly, I'm now happy that aguyyouknow is now happy........it's a wonderful world!

So have they wrapped up their conference?
    Do they have a tourny?

I know Madison is in the bigs with $35 mil, but is this squad that good?(Again, less a 94 velo lefty draftee - and I do not want to sound in any way doubtful or condescending, in case my computer "tone" seems that way. I just haven't heard much about the team. I know the tradition and that their coach, Parham I think, does a great job from all I've ever heard.)
