Providence, Ardrey Kell and Marvin Ridge ALL go down in Round 1

Makes a lot of sense.....I had more of the thinking so one pitcher doesn't dominate the top teir of the conference like it has in the past. I know here in Brunswick County we are force to only play 21 games where we would love to play 24 or more but we have to deal with what we have to deal with. I think a lot conference should go to 3 games a week in conference against the same oppenent. It would be more like a college schedule then

I admit that is part of it as well...

When our conference goes to 6 teams for 2014, I have proposed we play each other three times, and do so within individual weeks. Only ONE coach in the conference has even said "maybe," with the rest wanting to keep it all split up. They basically admit (some outright, some by what isn't said) it is to give themselves best chance to split games with certain opponents into seperate weeks and keep pitching to their best advantage. Oh well...

Why would any good coach want to take the easy road to VICTORY?

 

Two things:

1) Define easy.

2) Does my argument for having series in the same week qualify me as
good?

 

Beat the best to be the Best is what I Prefer!

1- fixing a schedule to not play 2 good teams in the same week!

2- your proposal sounds like a winner!

 

Is it really "fixing" a schedule, to (under catcoach's reasoning) possibly more accurately get an indication of who the better "team" is?

Of is it simply "fixing" what is wrong with HS schedules now?

As he stated, colleges and pros already play series. And theres a reason for that.
