Ryan turned in another good performance. 8IP, 4H, 1ER, 1R, 5K 0BB and a 7-1 win versus High Point in front of a lot of family and friends at High Point. He's now 3-2 in conference 4-4 overall and just recently went into 3rd place all time at UNC-Asheville in strikeouts!

Mikal Hill just finished his freshman season at Miami Dade after transferring from South Carolina with a 368 batting average, 480 OBP, team leading 16doubles, 906 OPS, 28 runs scored, 21 RBI's. It was a tough transition, but he made it through as a better person.

I was wondering where Mikal went. I'm glad to hear that he is doing well and had an outstanding season. Good luck to him in the future!

He's not my son, but he's darn close to it....today, Hobbs Johnson was perfect through 7 innings for UNC, going into the 8th inning before giving up his first hit. He was absolutely incredible, and it was fun to watch. Congratulations to Hobbs!

    Hobbs' performance was fantastic!

How fantastic? He retired the first 22 Virginia Tech batters he faced; going to a 3-ball count only once in the process. He also struck out 10 batters over the 8 innings he pitched.

Preston Morrison: Perfect Game's National Player of the Day!

Congratulations to Preston Morrison, whose outing yesterday won him "National Player of the Day" recognition from Perfect Game's Managing Editor of college baseball coverage, Kendall Rogers! Here's what Rogers had to say about Preston's outing:

"PLAYER OF THE DAY: RHP Preston Morrison, Texas Christian -- After dropping a contest to San Diego State, the Horned Frogs looked to the freshman righty to provide a spark on Saturday. Boy, did he accomplish that goal and more. Morrison struck out five batters and allowed just one hit in a complete game shutout over the Aztecs. He threw 74 of his 107 pitches for strikes."

my son keith prowse turns in another very good season on the bump for the surry knights. Keith went 4-1 as a starter and also was 2-0 in save attempts. Also had 1 of his wins against spart meth. Keith has gotten plenty of attention from other schools and may be leaning toward university of the cumberlands. Gongrats to keith on two great years at surry. Im very proud of him.

Outstanding performance! UNC's pitching staff is extremely young and have performed beyond expectations. The PITCHING COACH has done a whale of a job with the diaper dandies!!!!!!!

By the way, Benton Moss has had a superlative year.

    Way to go Preston!!!

That's our boy!!! Straight from the WCWAA little league fields to closing out his HS career at Cuthbertson. Don't be suprised if Preston receives academic awards, as well this year. He's the complete package. Way to go Preston!
