    Just heard from someone at the DBAP. Tarps are off and sun is out. Rain is on the way though most likely.

    Softball has been postponed.

    For those interested, the local prep sports guy in the Wake County area is Mike Blake with the Cary News.... Im sure he will be posting updates on twitter @JMBpreps

    Middle Creek - 2
    Hough - 0

    WP - Boyd (CG, 2 H)
    LP - Bragilla (CG, 4 H)

    Freshman, Diego Guerrero of Middle Creek had 2 doubles and the go ahead RBI.

    Game 2 is Saturday at 2pm. If there's a game 3, it will be Saturday at 8pm.

    Middle Creek = State Champs

    Middle Creek won the 4A state title today with a 10-4 victory to sweep the series 2-0.

    Congrats to the champs and congrats to the Hough Huskies...they got hot at the right time and scored clutch wins in close games to make it to the championship series.

    Congratulations to the players, coaches and families of Middle Creek; but a special congratulations to my friend, Coach Jere Morton. What a way to go out, as you resume your career at the next level.

    ...oh, and you will cherish that State Championship ring the rest of your life.

    Back to back state 4A titles for Tri9!!!!

    Kudos to the entire MC team & coaches. I think I can see JM15 smiling from ear to ear!


    I saw MC in two playoff games this year and was very impressed by their solid defense and approach at that plate. Nothing that made you say what a dominate team but they get the job done.
