Young ladies from across our state, no matter what Division they ultimately decided to play for, have dedicated years of their lives to honing their skills and learning all the intricacies of the game. Decisions to play at the DII or DIII level often have little to do with ability on the field, but often have much to do with the type of school they wish to attend, how much time they want to be able to devote to academics, and majors offered.

Every young lady that has committed her time, energy and commitment to this sport deserves to be recognized for their accomplishments no matter what level they ultimately chose to play for or had an offer to play for. :)

Congratulations to each of these young ladies for working hard to fulfill their dreams!

    Congratulations to both young ladies.

St. Andrews is no longer an NCAA school or DII, but is now part of the NIAA.

Which then begs the question: How many of our girls here in NC choose NIAA?

Sorry just....do you mean NAIA?? If so Montreat is the only other school in NC that is NAIA and is filled w/ NC girls. Plus they have an excellent new coach (2nd year) that is gonna put that program on the map

    PRK -

That was not a dig LOL Just a simple question. I added the DII threads and the DIII threads, then like an airhead missed the NJCAA/JUCO, which someone was kind enough to add. So that question has more to do with, should we also put up at thread for NAIA. Refer to my post above: It is my absolute belief that these girls that have worked hard for all of these years deserve acknowledgment for making their college dreams come true at ALL levels, whatever they chose, not simply one level.

PS I happen to know an outstanding pitcher at Montreat and have seen the talent they have recruited over the last year. They certainly are building a great program out there!
