our family enjoyed the weekend tournament. the cardinals were hot and the USC upstate pitcher sat everyone down with a nohitter against the Carolina Slammers. I wanted to find out how many homeruns were hit over the weekend. anybody?

I think you are talking about Lexi Shubert who pitched a perfect game Friday night striking out all 15 batters. The kid is an awesome pitcher, and a great season help leading her high school Fred T Foard to a state final runer up finish, and only a rising senior!!

To each his own way of doing things.

As a webmaster and board moderator, as well as a member of more than a few softball messageboards, one of the most common rules is that you do NOT name names. The standard philosophy seems to be that it is better that one or several posters be unsure who you mean, than to risk opening the door for potential commentary that may be less flattering to downright insulting.

Your board, of course. Just sayin'.

    :crap:

well.....things are a bit different here, we post achievements to give them their 15 minutes of fame, and still do.....the people who attack players, coaches and other members on this board have been removed and will continue to be so.....as LarryD used to put it, my board, my rules....this forum has always been about the girls, its why it was started and i dont see it changing in the near future....

I would never name the name of a player that had a bad day, played poorly or gave up 20 runs. This runs against my philosophy of lifting girls up.

However, why should a player's identity be masked because they are fearful that in someone praising them another may attack?

Thisboardrocks has always been about sharing accolades about a young lady's accomplishments. Anyone petty enough to take a jab at them should just color themselves green and keep their mouths shut.
