    Caldwell County goes up 2 games to none to Gaston Braves tonight at South Point High School by a score of 11 - 4. Drew Bolick from Hibriten High School pitched a great game tonight. He struck out 7 batters in 6 and 2/3 innings.

    Caldwell has its top 2 Aces ready to pitch the next 2 games if needed which are Spencer Greer and Ethan Greene. Hopefully they can close out game 3 tomorrow night with Spencer Greer scheduled to pitch.

    I have heard there were some Caldwell players injured last night and just wondering if this was true? Carolina Man you got any information on this?

    Yes it is true. Not going to cover alot on here but the biggest thing is the two injured young men were released overnight from the hospital and are at home.

    The bus pulled into McDonalds in Belmont to a crosswalk in their parking lot and as the players were exiting the bus, a car sped through the parking lot and hit two Post 29 players. My car was in a parking spot so I never saw the impact but I am guessing the driver saw the stopped bus and tried to speed around to the driver through before the players got in line.

    It was scary and completely freak accident but both men are safe and sound and God performed a miracle that its minor injuries.

    I would like to note something on here that within 10 minutes of the accident, it looked like the entire Gaston Braves team was in that parking lot and making sure everyone was okay. Their AD and coaches were on the phone with Post 29 staff. That is a program with alot of great baseball players and even better people.

    Thanks for the information. I hope the young men recover quickly and have no lasting effects.

    I have heard basically the same as Downsouth, but I also heard that one player may have a broken foot from this accidental run over. I do not have that confirmed. Downsouth would have that information if it was true so hopefully all players are ok...That could have been a tragic event...thank the Lord...no worse than it was.

    luigiboy has a alibi sumo...could you tell me where you where at the point of impact???

    Well hell...Gaston Braves whipped Caldwell County tonight (7-18-2012) 11-6. A few errors in the field...but hey...that happens sometimes in baseball...

    Caldwell County leads series 2-1

    Heading back to South Point High School to play game 4 tomorrow night 7-19-2012

    If we are to win against this team...we have to bring our A game

    Very very poor effort from the players and staff last night. Jumped on gaston for 4 in the first round and thought they didn't have to play any more. No fire and enthusiasim bad decisions, bad pitching, bad at bats, bad base running, bad defense just sorry play. Better pick it back up, Had a chance to close it out last night after the first inning as you could tell the Gaston players were really down but then Caldwell went into cruise control, coaches left in a pitcher 3 innings after you could see he didn't have it and give Gaston new life. To their credit they took advantage of it. Could change the series

    Just woke up from a Big Mac induced Haze and my memory is kinda blurry... anyone know how I got the dents in my car?

    Hope both guys have a full recovery
