The JR Moors have put On a pretty good show so the last two days and are playing to their capability. Looked sluggish in their first 2 outings and are sitting as good as can be expected for a 1 loss team going intO the final day. Jamie Anderson is rested and ready and gives them a great shot at playing 2 tomo. Just a reminder, this group is made up of underclass em and for the most part represent just one high school. For those that understand legion baseball, you know how hard it is to field a winning program with just one feeder school. Good luck to these boys tomo as they try to tame the Giant that is Cary Jr Legion!

This has been a good showing for Coach Benfield and the Jr. Moors. What a great job he has done with this team this year. Congrats to the players and their coach, no matter what they are winners.

Just read the article about today's Junior Legion Finals matchup in the JDNews.

Noted that the Cary team was 52-4 overall and 37-0 against Jr. Legion competition. So, who are the other 19 games played against? Senior Legion teams, weekend travel teams, showcase teams, etc.... Just wondering how they got so many games in compared to the other teams. The Mooresville team they are facing has a 23-7 record.

Over in Swansboro. Mooresville shuts out Cary 4 - 0 in game 1.
Cary comes back in second game to take the state 8 - 1.

S0 proud of the Mooresville team. Very young compared to most teams they have faced and most from the same school!! A lot of good things ahead for that group!! You haven't heard the last of them!! Coach Behnfield did a great job with them!! Quite an accomplishment 2nd out of 106 Jr. Legion teams in the State!! Way to go boys!!!

This IS a special group and even though it is much harder to win at the SR level, I know without a doubt this group is capable as they mature with age. The only thing that could hamper this bunch is when all those money ball teams come calling!! Hope they stay together and with the Sophomore and Junior classes on our SRS their next big show could be at SR State Tourney!!

They played other teams. They played in some weekend showcases earlier in the summer and they even played my Babe Ruth team because I wanted to play some strong competition. That may be where the other 19 games came from in their record. They just like to play baseball.. Anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Congrats to the Bulls. I played for them and returned as a coach. It's awesome to see them continue their success. They are one big family compared to most summer teams these days. Five State Titles since 2002.
