Was at a tourny this weekend in Greenville SC saw three 2013 XENO bats in three different games break completely in half on contact with a ball sending the barrel of the bat flying into the infield!! SCARY! anyone else seeing this!

Funny you mention that. I too was at a tourny and witnessed 3 of the same bats, bust in two pieces.

    Pepsi...

I'm not saying the bats are not defective by know means...But, I have seen a rise in "Rolled" bats on ebay that can be purchased for the same price. XENO's included. Did the umpires even examine any of the bats broken. I've never seen an ump actually take the time to do so but I have seen coach's almost break their neck to retrieve them. Once again, I'm not saying the XENOS aren't defective. I've always been told to stay away from new bats for awhile because of this reason.

    I have heard of this

I have not personally witnessed this or personally spoken to someone who has had this happen, but I have seen this same comment more than once on other softball boards during the summer. That would lead me to believe it's not an isolated incident.

Pretty common to see a Xeno break at the connection piece. This has been common since the first generation.

Here is what happens to a one piece bat on a hard inside pitch. Barrel went farther than the ball!

My daughter is using this bat in college and keeps 2 with her at all times just in case one comes apart. I have seen some break on the first day of use and others last a few years. This bat is probably the hottest out there right now so thats the trade off.

Why not just buy a bat that won't break so easily? That would make more sense to me. I was at UNCC this past weekend and saw players for UNCC, USC & Greensboro College using them and only saw 1 ball leave the park. Didn't seem to be a hot bat to me

    CF4 CF5 STEALTH

What happened to these bats. They were the latest and greatest, HOTTEST things out. My girl is using CF4. I'm just wanting her to make good solid contact and drive the ball. I agree w fastpitchdad199, find a excellent quality bat and go with it. If a girl can hit good w a $39.00 bat from Walmart go for it.
