3 way tie in a league.....head to head has one team 3-1....one team 2-2....and one team 1-3......understandly they are seeded accordingly by this initial head to head......however the last two teams head to head split during the regular season......and these two teams meet in the 1st round of their conference tournament......and ultimately being the 3rd game between these two teams....shouldn't the winner of this game get the playoff bid by going further in the conference tourney and also by winning the "so-called" 3rd and tiebreaking game?

Team A- 3-1 in head to head against other 2....
    Team B- 2-2 " "
    Team C- 1-3 " "

Team B and C play in 1st round of conference tourney after splitting 1-1 in regular season......winner of this tourney game would then be 2-1 against this team that is involved in tiebreaker.....two thoughts and questions.....Do results of overall tiebreaker take precedent over the actual head to head matchup between the two teams that are involved in this secondary tiebreaker? How can a team that ultimately is tied in conference standings with another team (for example.....7-5) and go 2-1 against this other team be left out when the losing team gets in?

    Thoughts......

    Remember it's a 3WAY TIE

You can not seperate from the 3WAY aspect.
What you are proposing (maybe just mentioning) is to focus on the 3WAY, then suddenly shift to 2WAY after a clear top seed between the three has been estalished. Can't do that. Kind of like having it "both (two) ways."

Now I'm not saying it's perfect, but it is what is in the rules.

Cat coach makes an important point.....

Had the three teams not tied with overall record, the solution would be easy. However it is what it is. Back in Clem's day ther would be. Bat flip to decide seeding. Actually the seeding is intangenous because pitch choice depends on the cycle driven mid season.

    UH...

...you confused me with,"Bat flip," :shifty: puzzled me with," intangenous," :56: and totally lost me with,"cycle driven mid season." :worried:

Conference tournament winner is seeded no worse than second regardless of record.

    ?

Thanks .. I didn't see that in the rules. Explains the reason. Can a team that goes "0 for" during the regular season sneak into the playoffs if they win conf tourney then?
