    Hopewell @ Olympic

    Olympic beats Hopewell.
    Logan Redmond -WP
Darius Means, Tanner Mann each with solo HR.

2-0 early Olympic in lead with Means solo HR. 4-1 later Olympic still in lead with hopewell getting runners because of a few errors in 3rd. 4-2 after single, FC and past ball. Then Tanner Mann pops a solo HR. 5-2. Well played and pitched game by Hopewell in late innings. Nothing but respect for you.

Did not Redmond pitch 1st round? Was hoping to see him vs. TCR.

    David v. Goliath

Redmond did pitch in 1st round, but Olympic 10-run-ruled N. Meck in 6 innings. OHS had a LH reliever pitch the 6th. Brilliant! So he had innings left for Hopewell. Logan paints that corner Glavin-style, and then when you look out there, bam...he jam's you. He's had a great run. Up to the team to give him another start. Mincmi, you should have been with us watching baseball & take-offs and landings at Charlotte Airport's approach: “Stack ‘em, pack 'em & rack ‘em.”

FYI, I had a NCHS umpire tell me Olympic had "No Chance" against Ryder. Ryder is and will be a fine prospect. Hopewell’s pitcher that finished game had good stuff.

Ok, at the risk of rambling on... (which I am prone to do). Pretty cool that my son (freshman pitcher) follows in his grandpa's footsteps to play TC. Gramps first AB in HS was pinch hitting against Valley Springs (TC's predecessor) and that was a grand slam. Never lost to VS. Pitched @ Western. Joined USAF. Enka's jet has his name on it. Lives 10 minutes from TC, but probably won't make the game because he's traveling. Called him last night..."get your butt home". Cool stuff. My college buddy won 3A state title for TC in ‘83. And my wife’s intern at work is Cameron Maybin’s little sister. So…worlds are colliding. Everything is related. Good times.

Harsh realityà David vs. Goliath on Friday.

West Forsyth knocks off High Point Central 3-1 behind a great pitching performance by Travis Holden and will play the winner of tomorrow's South Meck / Reagan game
