    Size

Edwards and Lockman at Nebraska both 5-6
Rachel Fico LSU listed 5-7 maybe 5-5 #1 pick NPF draft
Olivia Galati Hofstra 5-5 #2 pick in NPF draft.
Jolene Henderson Cal 5-8 #3 pick in NPF draft

Keilani Rickets 6-2 #4 pick in NPF draft

    Blaire Luna Texas 5-8

Looks like the pro folks look at pitching not just size. You can come back with they are in OKC but there will be 3 at 5-8 or less. Size doesn't hurt but too many get caught up with 5-11 up and miss on some good ones. If Fico or Galati had OU type supporting players they would still be the team to beat. I do agree pound for pound Tincher is as good as it gets. Listen to some of her recruiting storys and there were many schools that wouldn't even look at her. Their loss!

    Size matters

It's possible to be near average ht and be successful but don't let the NPF draft be any guide. Those teams make sure kids are willing to play before they draft them. Galati was never going to leave the Northeast. No won overlooked Fico or Henderson. AT was very late developer. She didn't really play much with a high-visibility TB team (Shamrocks) until her senior year. Her high school team in VA was single A in a very rural part of the state.

That is the problem with many programs today. They see a short kid and immediately write them off. Not every program can get a 5'11 or taller pitcher, and some that do probably wish they had gotten a smaller one. Judge kids based on their ability to play and their knowledge of the game. Conditioning and weight room programs can make them stronger and able to go longer.

    NPF

I am aware Fico nor Henderson were overlooked. No pitcher that signs with LSU or Cal would be. Based my thoughts on these shorter pitchers getting it done. The NPF was only a point they wouldn't be drafted high if they didn't think they could get it done. My feelings about Galati is she is as good as any pitcher around regardless of height.

On Tincher I know from personal dealings with them they couldn't even get some pitching coaches to work with her due to height. The same with some colleges that were aware but chose not to recruit her. You have college coaches and pitching coaches making decisions about players based on height and not ability. I don't expect this will change anytime soon but I do see a problem with that thinking.
