I can tell you first hand....

If the kid can play, it is gonna open allot of doors....

I have worked the Softball Factory events for over three years now, all over the country. Excellent instruction, challenging format, tremendous coaching and top rated facilities... I have worked with the National team staff, NPF players, as well as numerous top level coaches.

They get great numbers as far as participation....
but only approx 5% of the kids that attend have the ability to play at the next level... and that includes D1 - D3, JUCO, NAIA....

The Softball Factory held an event last Sunday in Raleigh. Approx 60 kids signed up... There were maybe 6 that might play someday on a college roster...

So I ask the question again...

    Can she play?

Not trying to answer for Wndmillr but you can't credibly apply the same prediction to an individual that you can to a group.

Every player has potential. My opinion of a player could easily make that player work harder or just as easily make that player complacent. For example, I could tell a player she won't make it; that might make her work harder to prove me wrong—or much worse, she might give up. On the other hand, if I tell her she's one of the 6%, that might be the end of any serious effort.

I think you're asking the wrong person. Your DD is the one to ask. At present she IS one of the 6%.

Wow, I am so glad my daughters are done with college. I could have never afforded something like that for them. What a heavy burden to have to bear as a parent.

I am not saying that it isn't an excellent venue as I don't know. Thankfully both my daughters were able to play softball on scholarship without too many high-expense events.
