    Runners 1st and 3rd
    1 out
Catcher throws to 1st and as runner is diving back to 1st the ball becomes lodged on the inside of mask and face. After touching the base she removes the ball and flips it into foul territory.

Runner on 3rd advances to home.

    What's the call?

The ball became lodged in the fielder's mask? If so it's still a live ball, right? Unless time is called it's still a live ball when she flipped it into foul territory.

Assuming high school, when the ball becomes lodged in an offensive player's uniform, NFHS 8-4-3-l: The ball is dead, and the umpire should award the runners the bases in the umpires judgment the runners would have reached.

The ASA equivalent is 8.5-M(2), with the same EFFECT.
