Pineville Pioneers

Pioneers suffered a brutal loss to the Morganton Aggies with a 1-14 defeat.
As they traveled to Freedom High School, the Pioneers scored one in the top of the first. Brett Thompson started off the game with a home run as the very first batter. Unfortunately, that was as far as the Pioneers got. Totaling only four hits throughout all nine innings, two from David Daniels and one from Anthony Dimino, the Pioneers surrendered to the Aggies far too early.
Caleb Henley, pitching 1.2 innings, earned the loss giving up six runs on two hits with eight walks early in the second. Kevin Joo, pitching in relief for a total of 2.2 innings, surrendered four more runs on four hits and six walks. Unfortunately, the Pioneers weren’t out of the game yet. Taylor Cook entered the game giving up four more runs on five hits and only one walk. Ryan McClintock, pitching one inning, surrendered one hit but no runs. Aggies pitcher, Justin Johnson, pitched six innings giving up only four hits and one run.
